Bibliography - Effects of Forest Practices on Chemical and Physical Water Quality with a Focus on Coniferous, Pacific Northwest Case Studies.

A comprehensive literature search for references relating to the effects of forest practices on chemical and physical water quality was conducted in March 2001 (R. Pike) and updated in March 2002 (T. Redding). Over 800 references pertaining to water quality in the coniferous forests of the Pacific Northwest were found. A literature review summarizing some of these references will be produced in the summer/fall of 2002.

A comprehensive electronic bibliography is now available to our clients. Designed for researchers, consultants, students, and the public, this bibliography can reduce the time spent searching for references. In addition to the master bibliography, several sub-sets have been extracted for your convenience. These sub-sets are sorted by keywords in the title, but further searching of these topics in the master bibliography is also recommended. Please note that the bibliography does not include references specifically related to:
  • Water quantity
  • Biological components of water quality
  • Climate change
  • Range management
  • Channel changes
  • Deciduous case studies
