Description:
The Workshop objective is to gain familiarity with native grassland ecosystems, grass taxonomy, and grass plant identification. We have designed it as an introduction for beginners and a refresher for those with some grassland experience. The workshop will be valuable for naturalists, students, environmentalists, agriculturists, and all those interested in British Columbia’s complex and fragile grasslands.

The instructor is Don Gayton, M.Sc, P.Ag, a well-known ecologist with FORREX. He has wide experience with grassland ecosystems and is the author of The Wheatgrass Mechanism, Landscapes of the Interior, and Interwoven Wild.
