ConservExt
Bi-monthly email announcements summarize news, events, and courses related to conservation biology and ecosystem management within the province of British Columbia and elsewhere. Every few weeks, we gather this information and put it in one convenient location, providing our clients with a quick summary of all conservation-related events taking place in BC. We also take submissions of events and news related to conservation biology, and will include these in our email list announcements. If you would like to have an event included in the listserv, please contact one of the specialists listed on the Conservation Biology Extension Program page.

ForestDynamicsExt
This notification mailing list is operated by the FORREX Forest Resources Dynamics (FRD) Extension Program. Subscribers receive announcements of news, courses, and events relevant to early stand dynamics, ecosystem productivity, ecosystem and stand management, and forest operations in British Columbia and across Canada. As well, information on FRD Extension Program updates, products, programs, and services will be included. This service is expected to be low volume (once or twice a month).

JEM
JEM is notification email list for the rapid exchange of information relating to the BC Journal of Ecosystems and Management (JEM). Subscribers receive announcements of new articles, specialty issues, and calls for papers. JEM is a peer-reviewed electronic journal published by FORREX Forum for Research and Extension in Natural Resources, and is available on-line at www.forrex.org/publications/jem/jem.asp.

LINK
LINK, FORREX's quarterly newsletter, shares information about past and upcoming workshops and conferences, highlights of research results and applications, and background on initiatives of both FORREX and our partners. NRIN

This email list is a forum for the rapid exchange of information, ideas, and opinions related to the Natural Resources Information Network (NRIN). NRIN may also be used as a forum for facilitated discussions on topics relating to management of natural resources information. Topics may include: knowledge management, metadata, metadata standards, information systems (hardware/software/tools), data mining, data clearinghouses, information databases, and similar natural resource initiatives.

NRIN is a collaborative initiative of the FORREX and other natural resource agencies in British Columbia. NRIN provides British Columbians - practitioners, professionals, researchers, decision makers, and resource users - with a comprehensive, searchable database of information on natural resources and their management. WatershedExt
This notification mailing list is operated by the FORREX Watershed Management Extension Program (WMEP). Subscribers receive announcements of news, courses and events relevant to watershed management in British Columbia as well as information on new WMEP products. This service is expected to be low volume (one to four times a month).

This special interest list is an open forum/support group for users of Metastar software and related code. It provides a place for Metastar users and developers to interact with each other, ask questions, make suggestions and get advice on any Metastar-related topic.

Subject content may include, but is not limited to: frequently asked questions and their answers, bug reports and fixes, architecture and design discussions, reports of problems and solutions, interoperability/integration, suggestions/request for improvements, training opportunities, and comments on the documentation.

By joining this discussion group you have expressed an interest in sharing your knowledge of Metastar and learning from the experiences of others. Metastar is developed by Blue Angel Technologies (http://www.blueangeltech.com).

While the METASTAR list is not moderated, FORREX reserves the right to remove users employing poor etiquette.


CEFORUM
The Natural Resource Sector Continuous Learning Forum (the Forum) is a voluntary collaboration between resource sector employers, professional associations, government agencies, and learning institutions. It is designed to improve the strategic development and implementation of a continuous learning strategy for British Columbia’s natural resource management community. This collaboration is coordinated by FORREX in partnership with a leadership team representing this broad resource sector.

This subscription-based information services is designed to keep you informed as this initiative evolves, and to provide you with a venue to share you perspectives and information relating to the Forum. You will receive regular updates and will have an opportunity to post information to others subscribed to the service.
