Support to FIA FSP Program Advisory Committees

Project Abstract:
The FSP program planning advisory committees (PACs) are standing committees that provide strategic advice and recommend funding priorities for their respective programs to the Forest Science Board. There are currently four PACs: the Sustainability PAC, the Timber Growth and Value PAC, the Growth, Yield and Modeling (a sub component of the Timber Growth and Value PAC), and the Extension PAC. The provincial extension agency will attend PAC meetings and provide advice to these committees. This project will ensure that the forest extension provider will provide advice on provincial extension activities based on user identified needs. It will also ensure that PAC extension suggestions are considered in the Provincial Forest Extension Program.
