FORREX: People making a difference one solution at a time.
The FORREX brand is recognized for quality, timely, relevant, and objective service.
FORREX is a boundary-spanning organization. We as staff are not decision makers, but many in our partner organizations are. Our corporate vision statement focuses on helping people through learning processes, because they are the ones responsible for making knowledge-based decisions supporting sustainable ecosystems and communities. We enable this vision via the FORREX process—a versatile suite of products and services designed to achieve desired outcomes. Like many processes, there are often several ways of getting to where you want to be. The path you choose is often based on what you know, what tools you have, and how much time and other resources you have to get to your destination. Regardless of the path you take, the ultimate indicator of success is that you arrived at your desired destination.
Business Model
FORREX is a charitable organization governed by an elected Board of Directors. Information needs are defined by our constituents, with corresponding programs and services delivered by a team of extension professionals and associates. Funding is provided through grants, conditional agreements, fees for service, endowment funds and donations. Now FORREX is expanding this business model to include venture philanthropy and social enterprise to increase our capacity in achieving our mandate.
